Welcome to West Sussex Loft Boarding. These terms outline the rules and regulations for the use of our loft storage, insulation, and access services across West Sussex.
User Obligations
By requesting a quote or booking an installation with West Sussex Loft Boarding, you agree to the following responsibilities to ensure a safe and efficient service:
- Providing clear and safe access to the property for the initial loft survey and throughout the scheduled installation period.
- Ensuring the loft area is reasonably cleared of personal belongings prior to the arrival of our installation team.
- Confirming that the property has stable electricity and lighting available for our technicians to operate tools safely.
Service Guarantees
We take pride in our “Artisan Installation” approach. All our loft boarding systems are installed using raised sub-frames (to protect your insulation and prevent damp) and come with a comprehensive structural integrity guarantee.
Boarding & Hatch
Lifetime guarantee on the structural stability of our raised boarding systems and a 5-year warranty on all fitted loft ladders and hatches.
Insulation Performance
We guarantee that our insulation upgrades meet or exceed current UK building regulations for thermal efficiency at the time of install.
Limitation of Liability
“West Sussex Loft Boarding shall not be held liable for any pre-existing structural weaknesses in the property’s ceiling joists or roof timbers that were not visible during the initial survey.”
While we utilize raised flooring systems to protect insulation, we are not liable for condensation issues arising from pre-existing poor roof ventilation. Our liability is capped at the total contract value of the installation.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. As a service provider operating specifically within West Sussex and surrounding UK areas, any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Modifications
We reserve the right to revise these terms at any time to reflect changes in building regulations or our service offerings. Customers with active bookings will be notified of any significant changes via the contact information provided during the survey.
